Responsibilities of Regional Construction Practice – Assistant Vice President
The role is join the Marsh Construction team located in Riyadh, situated in Saudi Arabia with a fantastic opportunity to grow with the business and build on specialist knowledge.
The Construction team currently comprises 3 members in Kingdom & a multinational team of 13 employees responsible for development, placement and servicing of construction business (infrastructure, mixed use, oil, gas, petrochemical and power) throughout the Kingdom. The team collaborates with colleagues from Marsh’s regional organization, its extensive retail network and other global energy hubs to provide specialist client servicing capabilities, world-class product solutions and access to local markets.
Client Servicing
Develop a strong understanding of our clients’ business, strategic priorities, risk strategies and risk management needs and develop innovative approaches to unique client needs.
Risk management advisory and guidance to clients, including risk identification, contract reviews and liaising/negotiating terms with various project stakeholders
Implement and maintain a quality service plan and regular open items reports.
Responsible for maintaining quality in all area of client deliverables.
Build and maintain client relationships and become the primary co-contact for clients, along with the branch client executive
Makes recommendations to clients regarding additional products & services as solutions to clients’ risk issues.
Keeping business numbers and forecasts accurately updated in MarshForce.
Responsible for ongoing service and communication with client, including promoting client/insurer relationship as needed, executing contracted services, and performing contract reviews
Contribute to retention through effective risk solutions and excellence in service
Ensure all back office activities are complete, included but not limited to MarshForce management, complete accounting paperwork, filing of client/project documents
Broking and Placement
Collect exposure information and underlying coverage requirements from clients
Coordinating with all internal and external stakeholders in Saudi and internationally to ensure timely delivery of slips, quotations, certificates, policies and invoices
Review and process underwriting information, prepare and submission of Slip to
Compilation / Comparison of the terms received from underwriters , within the regulatory scope
Presentation of terms to the client
Effecting the placement with the short listed insurer/reinsurer and obtaining follow support (where required)
Responsible for the execution of the placement strategy in accordance with client instructions
Business Development
Maintain an active sales funnel and help to drive construction revenue growth
Identifying prospective clients
Preparation of presentations
Preparation of reports and RFP responses to tenders (with input from specialists within the global network where required) working to tight timeframes
Creates & participate in presentations to existing clients and prospective clients
Look for any cross selling opportunities
Helping develop marketing collateral such as brochures, mailers, etc.
Training and Capabilities Development
Working with the construction team and other subject matter specialists to develop training materials for internal and external stakeholders on all matters related to construction clients
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Education Relevant college/university degree required, engineering background preferred
Experience
Experienced as a client advisor, client executive, or account manager with broking expertise or reasonable industry experience
Knowledge and skills (general and technical)
Strong work ethic, detailed oriented and proactive
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Good relationship builder, both with clients and internally
