About the job General Manager - Events

Position Overview:


We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our operations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the overall management of the company, ensuring strategic goals are met, and driving growth in the competitive events management industry. This role demands strong leadership, business acumen, and a passion for delivering exceptional event experiences.


Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Leadership:


  • Develop and implement the company's strategic vision, objectives, and business plans.
  • Identify market opportunities and trends to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Build partnerships and networks to drive growth and brand visibility.

Operational Management:


  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth execution of events and projects.
  • Monitor budgets, financial performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards.

Team Development:


  • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Evaluate team performance and implement development plans.

Client Relationship Management:


  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively pursuing new opportunities.
  • Ensure client satisfaction through exceptional service and attention to detail.

Financial Oversight:


  • Manage the P&L of the business, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Report on financial performance to stakeholders.

Marketing and Brand Development:


  • Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance the company's brand presence.
  • Develop strategies to attract and retain high-profile clients.

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in events management, hospitality, or a related industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing budgets, teams, and client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of the Saudi Arabian market and cultural nuances in events management.
  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
