Background



The last 5 years has seen a profound acceleration of investment in sport within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Sport is a prime driver in the kingdom’s “Vision 2030” an ambitious plan to diversify its economy and transform the lives of Saudi Nationals and inspire visitors from around the world. Dentsu Sports International have recently launched their MENA office and are building a team of marketing professionals perfectly placed to deliver transformational sports projects in the region.
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Sports Analytics to support our Middle East clients and lead our Dentsu Sports Analytics (DSA) operation in Saudi Arabia and the wider region.
This is a commercial role leveraging data solutions to drive rights holder’s and brand’s commercial performance (not sports performance analytics)
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital marketing, analytics, commercial strategy, and leadership. Ideally from a sport, leisure, entertainment, or tourism background. This role will be pivotal in driving data-driven processes across our sports client base in the region, enhancing performance, and contributing to the overall strategic goals of our sports analytics division. The role will be based in region primarily KSA, with frequent travel requirements between cities throughout the Middle East.

Key Responsibilities:



Leadership and Strategy:


+ Develop and implement commercial strategies of sports clients in the region.+ Work with marketing professionals, campaign managers and data analysts within the Dentsu network to support client objectives.
+ Grow and manage a small regional team of campaign managers and data analysts.
+ Build relationships with key personnel across the Dentsu Sports International business
+ Collaborate with senior management to align analytics initiatives with organizational goals.
+ Develop business development opportunities within the dynamic business environment in KSA

Data Analysis and Insights:


+ Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of sports commercial data.+ Provide actionable insights to commercial teams, management, and other stakeholders.
+ Develop predictive models to enhance commercial performance across all sports revenue lines.

Technology and Tools:


+ Implement and manage advanced digital marketing, analytics tools, and technologies.+ Ensure the integration of data from various sources, including ticketing, retail, and membership schemes.
+ Strong understanding of digital platforms, marketing automation tools and tech.
+ Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in sports analytics.

Collaboration and Communication:


+ Work closely with marketing, commercial and partnership teams at rights holders to provide data-driven recommendations.+ Present findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
+ Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making within client’s businesses

Research and Development:


+ Lead regional research initiatives to explore new methodologies and technologies in sponsorship, ticketing, retail revenue lines.+ Support global DSA product development and research initiative

Qualifications:



Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams. Strong proficiency in digital marketing, digital infrastructure development, marketing, and commercial sports Excellent communication and presentation skills. Deep understanding of commercial performance metrics and analytics. A strong understanding of the KSA culture and Vision 2030 objectives Arabic speaking a plus
