JOB PURPOSE



BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES



The Job Holder, is directly responsible to the Instructional Development Specialist-. The Instructional Developer (ID) will perform instructional design and development activities covering the complete lifecycle from Training Need Analysis to Post Training Delivery Review. These activities will be across multiple specialties and will require direct liaison with multiple stakeholders. The stakeholders will include RSAF representatives, Chief Instructors, Senior Instructors and Subject Matter Experts to ensure that the design, development is compliant with technical and customer requirements and expectations. The ID will work closely with the Courseware Design Specialist and StanEval Team Leader to ensure the effective deployment of new and revised training material and focus on developing training materials in accordance with the design requirements of the TTS.
The Job Holder will be a key member of the TSS Design and Development Team and will be required to assist in the management of change within the Technical Studies departments and support the effective transition from the current approach to technical training to the future training curriculum.

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION



City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Mechanical/Avionics/Armament qualifications or Off Aircraft Specialty equivalent qualifications
A recognised formal instructor qualification with Minimum 2 Years teaching/Instructional experience English Language ability to IELTS 6.0 or equivalent achieved within the last 2 years for non-native speakers Working knowledge of Systems Approach to Training (SAT) or Instructional Systems Development (ISD) Preferred working knowledge of RSAF Specialty Training Standards (STS), Curriculum Design and Development processes and procedures Strong interpersonal and communications skills and team player Demonstrated knowledge of configuration management Demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance activities Be able to work independently and within a team environment. Demonstrated ability to work fast and effectively to meet deadlines Good knowledge of training methodologies, analysis, design and delivery and a proven ability to perform within a training environment IT literate, commercially aware and able to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels
· The job-holder will be accountable to the Instructional Development Specialist for the following:
· Support the development, capture and reporting of performance metrics
· Perform design and development activities ensuring achievement of targets in terms of cost, quality and schedule.
· Provide support in the engagement and management of the TSI RSAF customer to develop an understanding of the local expectations as they relate to current and future management and delivery of academic and technical training
· Ensure the new courseware design is both creative and engaging across multiple specialties,
· Use best practices for design to ensure standardised, functional and well-designed multimedia components are incorporated in the courseware
· Co-ordinate and develop, as necessary, regular reports as required by the Training Manager -TTS Design and Development
· Work with Subject Matter Experts to develop innovative, creative and engaging courseware design concepts in accordance with company and client branding
· Induction, training and mentoring of all Design and Development staff in the tailored SAT process.
· Support the development, implementation and continual improvement of toolsets that support and govern the design process.
· Identify and report opportunities for continual improvement.
· Keep up to date in area(s) of expertise to enable training services provided to be fully current and relevant, and to help the Business be aware of new developments
