Job Description

As a Sales Manager, your role will involve executing store sales and operations strategy, achieving sales and profit goals, and fostering team growth through succession planning and performance management in Sales Market Türkiye. Your leadership and strong ability to make things happen in combination with your outstanding customer obsession and stakeholder management will drive current and future sales market success. 


Core Responsibilities includes but is not limited to:


  • Providing guidance and support to stores and area teams about execution of commercial plans in physical stores, implementation & operations, while maintaining constant follow up.
  • Hold sales and profit responsibility for your sales market including P&L responsibility for physical stores, and you regularly analyze, follow up, and take actions accordingly to maximize results.
  • Ensuring that all colleagues understand and embody our values, fostering a fair, inclusive, and diverse work environment.
  • Collaborate extensively across functions, departments, and teams to ensure alignment on business performance, company culture, strategies, and goals.
  • Having an overview of the specific landscape in your sales market, including political, environmental, and competitor-related topics, you develop strategies to navigate these complexities while maintaining a competitive edge.
  • Being a spokesperson in addressing local topics such as unions and local crises, ensuring clear communication, and representing H&M’s standpoint effectively.

Qualifications

To be successful in the role of Sales Manager,we believe you are a strong and inspirational leader with a passion for developing both business and people through the power of teamwork and collaboration. 


What you need to succeed:


  • Minimum 5+ years of leadership experience including successfully leading leaders.
  • Experience in leading complex environments, demonstrating an outstanding ability to create efficient execution.
  • Extensive experience in physical customer experiences positions you as a leader capable of driving change and delivering clear results.
  • Retail operations experience, including inventory management, visual merchandising, store layout, and customer experience.
  • Ability to understand how to execute our business plan in your sales market in the best possible way to generate sales. 
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong commitment and experience in providing a high level of customer service. 
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written; proficiency in Turkish is an advantage.

Additional Information

This is a full-time position based in Istanbul, Türkiye, reporting to the Regional Manager REEU. A Long-Term Assignment (LTA) may also be considered for this role.
