The Team You Will Join 

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Engineer to join our IT infrastructure team.

The Opportunity 

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in virtualization, Windows & Linux server administration, disaster recovery solutions, and basic networking.

This role requires a proactive individual who can design, implement, and manage a robust and scalable IT environment, ensuring high availability and security across all systems.

How You’ll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities) 

• Design, deploy, and maintain virtualization infrastructure using technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or other relevant platforms.

• Manage Windows & Linux Server environments, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

• Implement disaster recovery plans, ensuring business continuity through data backup solutions, failover strategies, and regular DR testing.

• Monitor system performance, perform regular updates, and implement security patches to maintain system integrity.

• Provide basic networking support, including configuration of switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of systems and services.

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.

• Document system configurations, procedures, and updates to ensure consistency and compliance with IT policies.

• Assist in capacity planning and resource allocation to optimize system performance and scalability.

What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications) 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Proven experience in virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar).

• Strong expertise in Windows & Linux Server administration

• Knowledge of disaster recovery solutions, backup strategies, and data protection.

• Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs.

• Familiarity with storage solutions (SAN, NAS) and their integration with virtualization platforms.

• Experience with monitoring tools and system performance analysis.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

What Can Give You an Edge (Additional Skills) 

• Certifications in related technologies (e.g., VMware VCP, Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, CompTIA Network+, ITIL, CCNA/CCNP).

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) is a plus.

• Experience with container platforms (AKS/Docker/OKE) is a plus.

• Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash) for automation tasks.
