Advanced Paramedic

1.Advanced Paramedics perform duties & responsibilities of all levels (Paramedics & EMTs) as well as they provide the additional comprehensive patient assessment and intensive care in accordance with DCAS Clinical Practice Guidelines as per Advance Paramedic scope of practice.

2.Participate in Annual Operational Action plan of Ambulance Operation Department.

3.Assist in decision making, suggestions, and implementing new Operational Plans.

4.Mentors, trains, and encourages fellow new staff, Paramedic and new advance paramedics as needed.

5.Taking command of incident commander during MCI (mass casualties’ incident), Distributing the task during the MCI like extrication team, triage team, treatment team, and transport team.

6.Participate in research and development activities, individual services improvement projects, and critical incident reviews.

7.Clinically supervise ambulance crew at scene and dealing with any issues or problems.

Bachelor’s degree in emergency medical services/Paramedicine or bachelor’s degree in nursing and Internationally / Nationally recognized Advanced Care Paramedic bridging program or equivalent.

Licensed DCAS Advanced Care Paramedic.

Valid BLS, ACLS, PALS Certificates, & Trauma Certificates (PHTLS or ITLS).

Disaster and Crisis Management course, Risk Management Course.

Valid UAE Driver’s license and EVO (Emergency Vehicle Operator) license.

Minimum 8 years’ experience in EMS Field Or Minimum 3 years’ experience as DCAS Specialized Paramedic.
