Advancement and Fundraising Manager

The American University in the Emirates is looking for an Advancement and Fundraising Manager who will work with the President of the University in supporting the mission, strategic goals and objectives of the University. The position includes strengthening awareness and building a culture of sustainable support among AUE’s internal and external stakeholders (identifies, develops and fosters relationships with all donors) in the scope of advancement and fundraising. This will be accomplished through strategic efforts that incorporate communications and improved community relations that advance the university mission and financial support the strategic goals and objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Master's Degree in Business Management or related field from an accredited university 
• 5 years experience in business development or related field

• Skilled in managing relationships with internal stakeholders and external stakeholders
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining focus on strategic goals.
• Strong written communication skills and presentation skills

Job Description

1. Networks, builds, and develops relationships with external stakeholders to elevate the brand and increase consideration through presentations, meetings, and marketing efforts
2. Develops and implements field engagement plan for assigned portfolio and makes changes as appropriate
3. Developing advancement and growth opportunities and plans by identifying and mapping business strengths and stakeholder needs
4. Develops and oversees fundraising strategies, fundraising plan and sponsor relationships, including sponsor recognition and stewardship
5. Evaluates current fundraising strategies and methods and recommends changes as appropriate
6. Preparing solicitation materials, including presentation material
7. Coordinate with the internal stakeholders to develop a list of prospect profiles in preparation for fundraising meetings
8. Oversight and approval of externally submitted proposals and MoUs that are linked to advancement and fundraising
9. Manage, oversee and record advancement and fundraising activities at university, college and department levels
10. Develop and implement strategies in collaboration with the university's advancement and fundraising team to identify and secure funding from various sources to support the University mission.
11. Cultivate relationships with current and prospective donors, ensuring their continued engagement and support for the institution.
