The AWS team at Redington is seeking an entrepreneurial Startup Specialist to lead and drive the startup motion. This role is pivotal in building a thriving startup ecosystem around AWS by onboarding startups to the AWS cloud platform and fostering connections with venture capitalists (VCs), joint ventures, and startup accelerators. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in startup environments, venture capital, or joint ventures, with a strong understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in the startup landscape.
Startup Engagement: Identify and onboard high-potential startups to the AWS ecosystem, demonstrating the value of AWS services to accelerate their growth.
Ecosystem Development: Build and nurture a robust network of startups, VCs, and joint ventures to create a sustainable and collaborative AWS startup community.
Strategic Partnerships: Establish and maintain relationships with venture capital firms, accelerators, and incubators to identify and attract promising startups.
Go-to-Market Strategy: Collaborate with the AWS team to design and execute go-to-market strategies tailored to the unique needs of startups.
Program Management: Drive AWS startup programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with AWS objectives and Redington’s strategic goals.
Thought Leadership: Represent Redington and AWS at industry events, webinars, and forums to promote AWS's value to the startup ecosystem.
Advisory Role: Serve as a trusted advisor to startups, providing insights and resources to help them leverage AWS technologies effectively.
Requirements
Proven experience working in a startup environment, venture capital firm, or joint venture.
Familiarity with the startup ecosystem, including funding cycles, scaling challenges, and technology adoption trends.
Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of cloud technologies, especially AWS services and their applications in startup growth.
Networking Skills: Strong ability to build and manage relationships with diverse stakeholders, including founders, investors, and industry leaders.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Program Management: Experience managing and executing initiatives or programs in dynamic environments.
Analytical Ability: Ability to assess startup potential and align their needs with AWS offerings.
