With stunning resorts located across the globe and exciting expansion planned, Kerzner International currently has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Banquets Operations Manager to join the F&B team at One&Only Royal Mirage Resort in Dubai.

With the global growth of our brands, you will be an integral part of Resort’s success and your role goes beyond developing potential relationships with our clients. Where you will maximize guests satisfaction and profitability by managing all activities of the Banqueting Department.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage all banqueting service staff and supervisors.
• Utilize leadership skills and motivation to maximize employee productivity and satisfaction.
• Agreed budgeted targets are achieved or bettered and food and beverage costs and labor costs are maintained at agreed levels and correct profit margins are achieved.
• Monitor department’s overall service, interaction with other departments, and team work daily, and takes action to improve.
• Function rooms, ante rooms and cloakrooms are checked for cleanliness before guests arrive, table and room layout and stipulated specific requirements are checked and all equipment, particularly audio and sound systems, is checked to be in good operating order.
• Liaison is made with client at least one week before the function to confirm exact numbers and arrangements. All client requirements i.e. bands, discos, entertainment, specialized equipment has been booked as directed.
• Analyses financial reports relating to food & beverage and takes corrective action and follow-up.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Suitable candidates should have a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in the same capacity in an upscale 5* hotel/resort environment.
• Has a strong exposure in handling busy banquets operations and dealing with high profile and diverse clientele.
• Ability to work in a multicultural and challenging working environment, who can lead, supervises, and motivates his/her staff in all aspect of service to the highest professional standards with care and attention to detail and in accordance with the standard operating procedures established.
• Excellent spoken and written English is required, and additional language will be highly regarded in this role.
• Middle East/GCC experience is an advantage.
