Charterhouse are currently supporting an Oil & Gas client, whom are in the process of looking to recruit a Financial Analyst, in to their trading and logistics entity within a regional start-up.
About the Role
Sat within the middle-office, this Financial Analyst will oversee a range of accounting duties linking to the trade finance activities, whilst overseeing the P&L reporting across the trading platform and product desks. From a functional angle, this role shall extend to the production of financial analysis and reporting commentaries, linking and supporting the reporting of market movements, working capital, revenue flows and any variance-reporting. In conjunction, this Analyst shall also support areas of trade capture, whilst also introducing and overseeing, any hedging requirements across both commodity and FX trading points.
About You
The client is looking to recruit this Analyst at an entry level however, the position will demand two years of experience within a finance and/or middle-office environment within an oil & gas or trading-related operation. The client will also look towards candidates whom are able to demonstrate an understanding of risk management and controllership; to ensure that any reporting policies are introduced in support of the middle and back-office functions. The nature of this role and the organisational fit shall require candidates whom are able to deliver a strong baseline of technical and commercial knowledge, for both ease-of-inception in to a start-up environment, whilst also being a subject matter expert internally within this financial and operational risk area of discipline.
