Job Summary:
As a Vice President in our Large Cap team, you will be a Corporate Banker who is responsible for managing and growing our business in the MENA region with focus on Abu Dhabi clients. The selected candidate will manage a broad suite of products, in close alignment and cooperation with product and global coverage partners.
Relationship responsibility is global across our network and full set of corporate banking products; Debt Capital Markets, Payments, Credit, Financing, Trade, Markets (Foreign Exchange/rates/ commodities), Securities Services and Asset Management.
Job responsibilities:
We are looking for an experienced banker to be based in Abu Dhabi and responsibilities will include:
- Working with product and investment banking coverage bankers to pitch for new client relationships and new business with existing clients
- Jointly with products partners, identifying and leading tailored marketing of products addressing clients’ needs
- Leading credit risk and other internal approval processes for all credit across loans and Markets exposure
- Revenue responsibility for top line growth as well as for sound risk return metrics and KPIs set by the business
- Being the first line of defence for continuous credit quality monitoring. Leading credit risk and other internal approval processes for loans and all counterparty exposures
- Onboarding of target clients and presentation of the respective business and credit cases to the relevant internal partners and committees
- Providing deal execution support to senior MENA bankers for debt and Financial advisory assignments. This will require overseeing Analyst/Associate work, coordinating across multiple product group, finalizing all clients submissions and being the Primary client interface. Up to 30% of the Corporate Banker's time will be allocated for this role.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Proven Corporate/Investment Banking experience across the Middle East
- Proven ability to develop client relationships, win new business, close transactions and build networks, both internally and externally
- In-depth knowledge of banking products
- Risk management expertise with experience in originating credit and debt capital markets transactions
- Proven influencing skills with a track record of managing cross cultural environments and inter-department collaboration
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
- Creative, inclusive and an innovative team player
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in presentations, expressing complex financial strategies in an organized and articulate manner
- Must be willing to travel regionally and internationally
