As Head of Digital & Tech-Gulf, you will partner with market leadership team and business stakeholders to define and implement digital, data and technology strategy to enable business ambitions. You will be accountable for effective delivery of Digital & Tech capabilities and services, providing support to your market.
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:
- Lead the Commercial Digital & Technology Tech function to ensure that the business has the technology and digital strategies in place to deliver on their business performance objectives leveraging where possible GSK’s global products.
- This role is the single point of accountability in the Local Operating Company (LOC) for the success of global, regional, and local IT projects and services.
- The role includes the design of digital transformation roadmap against corporate & Emerging Markets vision/mission, drive business alignment and execution.
- The role is required to manage the full lifecycle for solutions and services ensuring continuity of services while evolving functionality in line with business and tech strategy.
- The role ensures the right level of oversight is in place to ensure priorities and roadmaps are signed off in agreement with the business; solutions and services meet a high standard of governance and compliance with minimal risk exposure; and problems are escalated and resolved efficiently.
- The role will be responsible for idea generation, gathering demand, assessing value, prioritizing work based on value & capacity, planning delivery, decide on building locally vs outsource, building products & solutions, driving scale, and ensuring setup of successful BAU processes.
- The role must ensure that all approved demand is aligned with global and regional Tech strategy, roadmap, portfolio and that its implementation will drive commercial excellence in the region.
- This role will be working together with global product teams, Regional and LOC Tech teams in implementing the integrated digital & omnichannel execution roadmap.

Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related technical area (M.S Computer Science and/or MBA preferred)
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in working in Tech with at least 5 years in leadership roles
- Experience in digital marketing, digital channels, omnichannel, data & analytics, data governance.
- Remote and matrix People management skills with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
- Track record in successful Tech strategy development, solution design, program and project delivery and service management
- Track record in delivering business impact through process and Tech enabled solutions
- Excellent relationship management, strong influencing, and communication skills at senior level
- Experience with product management and Agile practices would be an asset
- Experience in Business Analysis and solution architecting to convert business demands into technical specs
Preferred Qualifications:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- The role requires a deep knowledge of digital transformation skills and modern technologies with strong business acumen to quickly understand business challenges plus undiscovered potential and embed digital / data driven solutions & mindset to accelerate business ambition
- Business and commercial knowledge – demonstrated deep understanding of front-facing commercial operations and processes at market and regional level.
- Strong capability and solid experiences to develop effective Tech and digital strategy / products and digital & innovative technologies to directly drive-up sales and profits
- Good knowledge of Pharmaceutical commercial process areas and the systems and data used in the sales and marketing of pharmaceuticals
- Strong Innovative Thinking, learning agility.
- Solid Experience in Digital Channels / Omnichannel / Data & Analytics demand analysis & delivery
- Matrix management & getting things delivered through others capability
- Solid experience and knowledge of new technology such as big data, AI/ML, plus digital savvy mindset and passion for innovation and change management.
