ICT Engineer

GEMS School's in the UAE are looking for an ICT Engineer to provide comprehensive IT support to all administrative and educational staff, ensuring effective use of systems and applications (intranet and internet). Oversee the installation, configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of the school's computer hardware, operating systems, and related technologies.

Key skills: 

·       Manage, maintain, and support the school’s ICT systems, including servers, networks (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi), telephony, printers, AV systems, and classroom technology.

·       Ensure high availability, performance, and security of all ICT services in line with GEMS corporate IT standards.

·       Provide first- and second-line technical support to staff and students, ensuring issues are logged, tracked, and resolved within agreed service levels.

·       Support the rollout and maintenance of GEMS-approved software platforms, learning management systems, and digital tools. 

·       Ensure classroom ICT resources are functional, up to date, and ready to support high-quality teaching and learning experiences. 

·       Support regular system updates, backups, antivirus protection, and access control measures.

·       Maintain accurate records of ICT assets, licenses, and configurations in accordance with audit and compliance requirements. 

·       Uphold GEMS safeguarding policies, ensuring all ICT systems support a safe learning environment for students.

·       Promote safe online practices and report any safeguarding or e-safety concerns in line with school procedures.

·       Ensure ICT equipment and installations comply with health and safety standards.
