Job Overview
The Main Power Substation Engineer is responsible for overseeing the design review and construction supervision of electrical substations for the Rail project. This role involves conducting inspections, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and troubleshooting technical issues. Minimum 7+ years’ experience in the relevant discipline.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Review and approve substation design documents and drawings.
Conduct regular inspections and supervision of substation construction activities.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during construction.
Coordinate with design and construction teams to address any discrepancies.
Prepare and review technical reports and documentation.
Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure quality and compliance.
Provide technical support and training to project teams.
Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to ensure system performance.
Monitor project schedules and budgets to ensure timely completion.
Oversee the installation and commissioning of substation equipment.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
Extensive experience in substation design and maintenance.
Knowledge and Experience:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in substation engineering.
Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles.
Experience with high-voltage power systems and substation automation.
Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP).
Preferred Skills:
Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to manage complex projects and deadlines.
