Specialist - IT Systems

Dubai Media is looking for a tech-savvy UAE National IT Systems Administrator to join our team and make sure our digital world runs like clockwork.

In this role, you’ll manage, maintain, and enhance our IT infrastructure — from servers and networks to cloud platforms and security systems. You’ll collaborate with a talented team to keep our systems secure, efficient, and future-ready, ensuring that everything behind the scenes supports the creativity that happens in front of the camera.

What you’ll do:

• Manage and optimize servers, networks, storage, and cloud platforms.

  
  

• Ensure systems are secure, stable, and high-performing.

  
  

• Deploy software updates, patches, and configurations with minimal disruption.

  
  

• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement long-term fixes.

  
  

• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver scalable tech solutions.

  
  

• Lead or support IT projects that enhance DMI’s infrastructure.

  
  

• Maintain documentation, backups, and disaster recovery plans.

  
  

• Stay updated with new technologies and best practices to keep us ahead of the curve.

  
  

What we’re looking for:

• UAE National (Emirati) with a passion for technology and continuous learning.

  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

  
  

• 0–3 years of experience in system administration, network management, or IT infrastructure.

  
  

• Strong understanding of operating systems, virtualization, and networking principles.

  
  

• Hands-on experience with security measures, scripting, and troubleshooting.

  
  

• A collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset with great communication skills.

  
  

Big plus if you have experience with:

• Linux system administration.

  
  

• Cloud platforms like AWS or Microsoft Azure.

  
  

• Database management and optimization.

  
  

• Industry certifications such as ITIL, CCNA, VMware, or Microsoft/AWS credentials.
