YOUR ROLE

The Branch Logistics Coordinator at CEVA Logistics Algerie is a pivotal role within the Ocean Operations division, based at the Alger-Tour CMA CGM location. This role is focused on managing and enhancing the logistics operations of a specific branch, ensuring efficient workflows, compliance with customs and regulatory requirements, and seamless coordination between internal teams, suppliers, and clients. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset and hands-on approach to optimize logistics processes that directly impact operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

  1. Logistics Project Management: Lead and oversee logistics projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring all stages of planning, execution, and follow-up are efficiently conducted. This includes managing timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to meet branch objectives.
  2. Transport and Delivery Coordination: Plan and supervise transportation schedules, customs clearance procedures, and delivery logistics. Work proactively to maintain timely shipments while adhering to all legal and internal compliance standards.
  3. Customs Clearance Optimization: Strategically optimise customs clearance procedures to reduce clearance timelines and minimize costs related to delays, penalties, or non-compliance. Maintain expert knowledge of customs regulations and maintain strong relationships with customs authorities and port officials.
  4. Operational Issue Resolution: Identify operational risks and challenges swiftly, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions to ensure service continuity. Develop and maintain contingency plans to address potential disruptions.
  5. Regulatory Coordination: Liaise regularly and effectively with customs authorities, port officials, and other regulatory bodies to guarantee smooth customs clearance and adherence to import/export regulations.
  6. Performance Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present detailed logistics performance reports, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs), trends, and areas for improvement. Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making and operational enhancements.
  7. Daily Operations Management: Oversee daily logistics operations, including the coordination of loading and unloading activities. Maintain continuous communication with carriers, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and resolve any immediate operational issues.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Proven experience in logistics coordination or management within the ocean freight sector, ideally within a busy port or customs environment.
  • Deep understanding of customs clearance procedures, transport coordination, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of coordinating effectively across diverse teams and external partners.
  • Problem-solving orientation with analytical capabilities to troubleshoot operational challenges and implement improvements.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and standard office applications.
  • Fluency in English and French is preferred, with a good command of Arabic considered advantageous.

WHAT DO WE HAVE TO OFFER?

With a genuine culture of recognition, we want our employees to grow, develop and be part of our journey. It is our goal that you will be compensated for your hard work and commitment, so if you’d like to work for one of the top Logistics providers in the world then let’s work together to help you find your new role.

As a global organization, and as part of the CMA CGM Group, diversity is critical to our business success; only when we can reflect the cultures, languages, behaviors and local knowledge of our customers, we can succeed. By employing people with different experiences and abilities, we expand our knowledge and increase our creativity and innovation.

Please note:  Legitimate CEVA Logistics recruitment processes include communication with candidates through recognized professional networks, such as LinkedIn or via an official company email address: firstname.lastname@cevalogistics.com. We recommend that you do not respond to unsolicited business propositions and/or offers from people with whom you are unfamiliar.
