Job Summary

The Rig Driller leads and supervises drilling operations on the rig floor, ensuring safe, efficient, and effective execution of drilling activities. The role is responsible for managing drilling crews, maintaining rig equipment operation, and enforcing well control and safety procedures.




Job Responsibilities 1

Oversee and execute daily drilling activities according to approved well programs.


Ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards.


Operate drilling equipment, including rotary tables, top drives, and drilling motors.


Monitor drilling parameters and report anomalies to the Rig Manager and Drilling Supervisor.


Enforce compliance with well control practices and emergency procedures.


Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure rig equipment is operational and well-maintained.


Conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks to reinforce HSE awareness.


Maintain accurate drilling logs and operational reports.


Train and mentor junior drillers and rig crew members.


Participate in incident investigations and contribute to corrective action plans.
