Based on a current project opportunity within our Mining & Minerals business, we are seeking an experienced Lead / Senior Process Engineer with strong gold project experience to join our Brisbane based Process team. Reporting to the divisional Process Engineering Manager, based on current work load we are looking for someone to join us on this growth journey guiding best practice in this sector of process engineering.

As a Lead / Senior Process Engineer, you will:

• Lead the Process engineering effort in the execution of project design requirements
• Deliver best practice process designs in accordance with project, time, budget and technical requirements
• Develop innovative solutions to complex process and technical problems
• Take responsibility for preparation or review of process deliverables such as process design criteria, process flow diagrams, mass and energy balances, equipment sizing, piping and instrumentation diagrams, process control philosophies and operating cost estimates
• Work with other engineering disciplines to implement process design requirements
• Ensure process designs meet required safety standards and actively participate in design reviews

We are looking for a Lead / Senior Process Engineer with relevant gold minerals processing experience, specifically with gold processing. As an engineer with qualifications in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or another related field from a recognised institution, you will have:

• Relevant experience in minerals processing plant design including comminution, gravity, leaching, dewatering, reagents and utilities. Experience with gold processing is essential.
• Extensive experience in the mining and minerals industry with previous experience in a Lead role within a projects and engineering environment
• Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong analytical, literacy and numeracy skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Well-developed computer skills and knowledge of databases, spreadsheets and engineering programs
• Experience with process simulation software such as JKSimMet and/or SysCAD/METSIM would be highly regarded

While this is an Australia based role we also have opportunities for secondments to the Middle.

Wood is seeking a Lead or Senior Process Engineer to join our Brisbane Minerals & Metals team on an initial 6-month contract, with the possibility of renewal. The role involves contributing to a unique and technically challenging gold project in Australia and the Middle East.
