A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

• Clean and store linens/uniforms in a timely, organized manner to ensure that hotel’s laundry and linen.
• Assist in sorting hotel and guest linen for washing
• Assist in transferring linen and clothes between machines
• Ensure machines and areas are kept free of lint
• Collect all items for laundry, dry cleaning and pressing from guest rooms 
• Keep records of all pickups on daily basis. 
• Check items against laundry and dry cleaning lists 
• Ensure the delivery of all processed items from the laundry to corresponding guest rooms by the requested time
• Assists in pressing, checking and folding of processed items
• Inspect all laundry and linens and records all damaged or stained items.
• Operate washers and dryers according to recommended capacity and other manufacturers’ guidelines. 
• Ensure necessary chemicals are added in the correct quantities prior to wash cycles
• Fold clean linens and store as appropriate. 
• Operate linen feeder, sheet folder, towel folder and table linen ironer machines
• Monitor and control supplies, and minimize waste within laundry facility
• Sort and record discarded linen into categories. 
• Report damages or loss of linen to supervisor.

What we need from you

• Prior hotel laundry experience is preferred.
• Good communication skills
• Experienced with handling guests queries and concerns
• Basic knowledge about how to operate different kinds of machines and chemicals.
• Recognizes different garments and has knowledge of how each one of them should be treated.
• Reading and writing abilities and basic math skills are utilized when determining amounts of chemicals to treat laundry and stains and logging appropriate poundage.
• May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
