The Cost Control Engineer at Nawy Real Estate is responsible for monitoring and managing project costs, ensuring that the financial objectives of construction projects are met.
This role involves developing cost control procedures, analyzing project budgets, and providing cost forecasting to support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement cost control strategies and procedures to monitor project expenses effectively.
Prepare and maintain project budgets, cost estimates, and forecasts throughout the project lifecycle.
Track and analyze project expenditures to ensure compliance with budgetary limits.
Conduct regular reviews of project costs and provide variance reports to project managers.
Collaborate with project teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and financial risks.
Assist in the preparation of progress billing and assist in invoice verification for suppliers and contractors.
Provide technical support in developing financial reports, including cash flow forecasts.
Participate in project meetings to provide updates on cost performance and financial forecasting.
Ensure that all financial reporting and analysis is compliant with the company's accounting policies.
Facilitate communication between the finance department and project teams to ensure transparency in financial matters.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in cost engineering or cost control in the construction industry.
Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Proficient in cost management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Knowledge of construction contracts and risk management is a plus.
