Cost Control Engineer

We are constantly growing and are currently looking for a One (1) Cost Control Engineer to join a top qualified and knowledgeable team of Engineers in our Regional Office in New Cairo, Egypt.

What you will need to do:

• Participates in preparing Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) and establishing Project Cost Centre's.
• Participates in transforming the Tender Estimate into Project First Budget.
• Ensures that costs are properly allocated to relevant Cost Centre’s.
• Participates in preparing budgets and current estimates.
• Participates in estimating new rates, pricing of variations, assessment of claims’ cost impact.
• Monitors project actual costs, determine and analyze cost variances and develop cost trends and projections using and presenting the Budgeted Cost for Work Scheduled, Budgeted Cost for Work Performed, Actual Cost for Work Scheduled, Actual Cost for Work Performed and Cost Performance Index.
• Participates in preparing cost reports or providing the necessary information for such reports.
• Maintains records of actual cost elements (materials, equipment, manpower etc.) to use in the Project Close-Out Report and to provide feedback to tendering department.
• Liaises with project different sections in cost allocation, accounting and control matters.

• Participates in preparing the Project Close-Out Report and Lessons Learnt

What you will need to have:

• Bachelor Degree of Engineering
• 5-8 years relevant experience in construction industry at similar level.
• Previous employment with leading EPC contractors is highly preferable.
• Knowledgeable in Total Cost Management Concepts & Terminologies.
• Knows how to allocate the budget and establish a Cost Baseline.
• Fluency in the English language.
