About the location:
Director of Banquets
Four Seasons Alexandria is looking for a Director of Banquets who will be responsible to oversees all aspects of a banquet or event, including set-up, menu selection and food presentation, serving, and cleanup while focusing on detail and quality presentation and customer service. Director of Banquets directs and guides Banquet Managers are also responsible for all aspects of supervision of banquet staff including: hiring, training, coaching, disciplining and reviewing banquet staff
What will you do:
1. The ability to hire, train, motivate, discipline, direct and supervise the work of the employees in the Banquet Department.
2. The ability to develop and maintain all training programs on a continual basis to insure a high degree of professionalism within the staff.
3. The ability to schedule all employees to maintain the service standards of Four Seasons while operating within budgeted labor cost guidelines.
4. Approaches all encounters with guests and colleagues in a friendly, service-oriented manner
5. Maintains constant communication with guests and on-site contact to ensure all expectations are met or exceeded
6. Remains alert of complaints and/or unsatisfied guests and responds appropriately to
ensure guest satisfaction
7. Coordinates with other staff and departments to arrange for the delivery of requested services
8. Maintains constant contact with kitchen staff to ensure complete effective communication between food production and food service
9. Ensures all functions are set and staff is prepared and organized before required time on BEO
10. The ability to ensure proper care, security and maintenance of club equipment through proper supervision of service personnel.
11. The ability to maintain a daily housekeeping program to include storage and operational areas and staff appearance.
12. The ability to schedule house attendants on a daily and weekly basis and to assign weekly cleaning schedules.
13. The ability to maintain and control inventory of banquet equipment and to ensure that inventory is kept clean and in good repair.
What will you bring:
1. Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English & Arabic language
2. Experienced in all aspects of banquet service, especially in Arab function styles
3. 5 years banquet manager experience
4. Excellent motivational skills
5. Excellent leader and trainer
6. Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
