Job description

Leverage your technical leadership and join a well-established and renowned Emirati construction company, recognized for delivering complex power and energy infrastructure projects across the UAE and the wider GCC region.


As an Electrical Estimation Engineer – Infrastructure, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical infrastructure projects including LV/MV/HV networks, substations, cable laying, street lighting, and utility works. The role requires strong technical understanding, excellent take-off skills, and full ownership of pricing and tender submissions in line with project requirements, applicable standards, and deadlines.


Key Accountabilities
  • Conducting detailed reviews and comprehensive studies of tender documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Preparing complete project take-offs using PlanSwift and AutoCAD (layouts, SLDs, schematics, cable routing drawings).
  • Developing detailed pricing and cost build-up using CCS software, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
  • Preparing and issuing RFIs and RFQs, clarifying scope and technical requirements with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Maintaining structured tender logs for each project and ensuring proper tracking of submissions, revisions, and deadlines.
  • Following up with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely receipt of quotations and technical offers.
  • Preparing comparison sheets and evaluating supplier/subcontractor quotations to support final pricing decisions.
  • Preparing technical qualifications and supporting documents required for tender submission.
  • Ensuring estimates comply with applicable standards and codes (IEC, IEEE, NEC, and local utility/authority requirements).
  • Coordinating with internal teams to ensure alignment on scope, assumptions, and submission requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

We Are Looking For:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (mandatory).
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in electrical estimation and tendering within the UAE/GCC contracting / infrastructure / utility / EPC environment.
  • Strong exposure to electrical infrastructure systems including LV, MV, and HV.
  • Proven experience in projects such as:

- Substations


- Cable laying works


- Street lighting networks


- Power distribution and utility works


  • Strong knowledge of CCS software for pricing and detailed cost build-up.
  • Proficiency in PlanSwift and AutoCAD for full project take-offs.
  • Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel (BOQs, comparison sheets, pricing analysis).
  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications (SLDs, layouts, cable routing, schematics).
  • Strong analytical thinking, communication, coordination, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
