As the First Line Maintenance Manager at Nokia, you will lead teams of regional field managers and subcontractors to ensure the smooth operation of telecom sites, both active and passive maintenance. Your role focuses on adhering to service level agreements (SLAs) while driving performance improvements. You'll manage day-to-day subcontractor activities, oversee fault resolution, and strengthen customer communication. With a commitment to health & safety (HSE) and continuous improvement, you'll make strategic decisions to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency, directly contributing to Nokia's mission of connecting people
 



Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily performance of subcontractors for telecom field operations.
  • Ensure adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and health & safety standards through audits and quality checks.
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities, ensuring timely fault resolution.
  • Lead emergency response and disaster recovery efforts in the field.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for customers, participating in regular meetings and reviews.
  • Guide and support field coordinators and supervisors in resource deployment.
  • Enforce standard operating procedures and support the adoption of digital tools.
  • Ensure accurate incident and ticket reporting and management.
     

Qualifications:

Must-Have:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, or equivalent
  • 6–10 years of telecom experience, including 3+ years in field operations and subcontractor management
  • Strong knowledge of telecom infrastructure (RAN, Transmission, Power, Fiber)
  • Understanding of health & safety compliance in field operations
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills
  • Proven track record in SLA management and operational excellence

Nice-To-Have:


  • Experience with digital field tools and reporting systems
  • Knowledge of customer performance reports and metrics
  • Familiarity with incident response and field troubleshooting techniques
  • Proficiency in vendor/subcontractor governance and collaboration
