About the Role:
The Fleet Manager is responsible for leading and managing end-to-end fleet operations across owned, leased, and outsourced vehicles to ensure high availability, safety, compliance, and cost efficiency. The role focuses on developing fleet strategy, managing vendors and partners, optimizing vehicle utilization, and overseeing drivers and couriers’ performance. The Fleet Manager works closely with internal stakeholders to align fleet capacity with business needs, control costs, and continuously improve operational performance while ensuring full compliance with regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities :


  • Manage end-to-end fleet operations across owned, leased, and outsourced vehicles, ensuring availability, safety, compliance, and cost efficiency.
  • Lead outsourced fleet acquisition by onboarding contractors and 3PL partners, negotiating contracts, pricing, and monitoring performance against SLAs.
  • Identify and manage long-term vehicle leasing partnerships, negotiating annual rental agreements and optimizing cost and service quality.
  • Oversee owned fleet activities including vehicle purchasing, preventive and corrective maintenance, accident handling, and insurance claims.
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and performance of in-house drivers and couriers.
  • Plan and optimize routes, delivery schedules, and vehicle utilization to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
  • Monitor fleet KPIs including utilization, cost per vehicle, maintenance efficiency, and driver performance, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure full compliance with road safety regulations, licensing, insurance, and company policies.
  • Handle incidents, breakdowns, and emergency situations promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate fleet documentation and asset records across all fleet models.
  • Prepare and analyze periodic reports covering fleet performance, costs, and utilization.
  • Collaborate with all relevant departments to align fleet strategy with overall business objectives, operational demand, and budget considerations.

Qualifications :


  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in fleet management, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven experience managing mixed fleet models (owned, leased, and outsourced/3PL) and vendor contracts.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, road safety regulations, and operational fleet management.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with ability to collaborate across departments.
