Job description

- General management and administrating of Linux servers

- Configuring, administrating and troubleshooting of (Web, Database, Mail) servers.

- Responsible for system updates, monitoring, security, capacity planning and stability.

- Provide support for our customers using our online tracking system such as web application and server-related issues, Websites migration.

- Regular task automation using bash/python scripting.

- Troubleshooting of hosted php application and it's server configuration related issue.

- Figuring out security and hacking issues and using log analyzing tools.

Technical Skills:

- First class knowledge of the Linux operating system & Linux web hosting environment.

- Advanced knowledge of cPanel/WHM control panel.

- Good Communication Skills

- Knowledge of bash shell scripting, Perl, Python (or at least one of them)

- Understanding PHP and HTML

- Familiarity with the web server related technologies such as: Apache, nginx , php-fpm, MySQL, PHP, Exim and other MTAs, Spam Assassin, Bind, PureFTPD and Tomcat.

- Familiarity with Linux related technologies such as: CentOS, RHEL, Shell commands and procedures

- Ability to compile software such as the Linux kernel, apache, extensions

- Knowledge of Windows Server.

Requirements
  • Education: Masters degree in computer science, business or closely related area. BS in CS or EE, or equivalent.
  • 2 Years of Practical Experience in Linux Administration (Centos, Debian, Ubutu, SUSE)
  • Experience in Linux system management, setup, configuration, hardening, backup and recovery (preferably SUSE)
  • 1 Years of Experience in supporting one or more of databases (MS SQL, Oracle or BD2)
  • In-depth knowledge of the following areas: Data Center Networking and Data Center Products (UCS, Nexus, FlexPod, Vblock, ACE, etc.)
  • Knowledge in at least one upper tier scripting language like Python, Perl, or Ruby
  • Familiar with Fiber Channel over Ethernet, Fiber channel storage area network architectures and/or Network Attached Storage (NAS) Environments.
  • Ability to make decisions with limited information
  • Very strong problem solving skills, with proven ability to analyze and determine root cause and resolution for complex problems.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to less experienced engineers.
