As a Mechanical Estimation Engineer – DI & CS Piping, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for projects involving ductile iron and carbon steel piping systems. The role supports tendering, budgeting, and project planning activities by analyzing drawings, specifications, and project requirements to ensure commercially viable and technically compliant bids
• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for ductile iron (DI) and carbon steel (CS) piping projects
• Develop detailed estimates covering supply, fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning works.
• Perform quantity take-offs from IFC drawings, tender drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.
• Estimate costs for pipes, fittings, valves, supports, flanges, gaskets, coatings, and accessories.
• Calculate labor, equipment, transportation, welding, excavation, backfilling, and hydrotesting costs.
• Review project drawings and specifications to fully understand scope, risks, and cost drivers.
• Support tender submissions by providing pricing breakdowns and technical clarifications.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project teams during the estimation and tendering phase.
We Are Looking For:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of DI and CS piping materials, fittings, valves, and coating systems.
• Good understanding of construction methodologies, welding processes, NDT, and testing procedures.
• Ability to read, interpret, and analyze technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and estimation software such as PlanSwift or CostX.
• Knowledge of Primavera is considered an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication, and time-management skills.
