Procurement Officer
Cairo e.construct – Accounting & Finance / Full Time / On-site We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement of a wide range of items and services, supporting multiple domestic and international companies. The role requires strong negotiation skills, fluency in English, and proficiency with ERP systems, specifically NetSuite. The candidate will coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely procurement and renewal of subscriptions, manage travel arrangements, and handle logistics and shipping.
Key Responsibilities

Procurement Management:
+ Oversee the procurement of services, consultants/contractors, materials, equipment, software, insurance, office supplies, logistics, and travel.
+ Manage both perpetual and periodic software subscriptions, including ad hoc requests.
+ Handle annually planned procurements and respond to ad hoc procurement requests as needed.

Supplier and Vendor Relations:
+ Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers and vendors.
+ Conduct online meetings with suppliers to negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts.
+ Maintain and develop professional relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable supply chains.

Contract and Negotiation:
+ Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
+ Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
+ Stay ahead of due dates for renewals and manage timely renewals of subscriptions and services.

Logistics and Shipping:
+ Coordinate transportation, shipping, and clearance of shipments at ports and imports through sea or air.
+ Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize shipping and reduce costs.
+ Collaborate with logistics providers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.

ERP Management:
+ Utilize ERP system (NetSuite) to manage procurement processes and maintain accurate records.
+ Generate procurement reports and analyze data to improve procurement efficiency.
+
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
+ Work closely with cross-functional teams including finance, operations, and project management.
+ Provide procurement support and guidance to various departments within the organization.

Compliance and Documentation:
+ Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
+ Maintain accurate documentation and records for all procurement transactions.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on international and domestic sourcing.
+ Fluency in English, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
+ Proficiency in ERP systems, specifically NetSuite.
+ Solid knowledge of transportation, shipping, logistics, and clearance of shipments at ports.
+ Strong organizational and time-management skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
+ Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
+ Experience with online meetings and virtual collaboration tools.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CIPS).
+ Experience in a multi-company or multinational environment.
+ Familiarity with procurement best practices and market trends.
Work Environment
+ Primarily remote work with occasional in-person meetings with vendors as required.
+ Meetings with suppliers will be conducted mainly through online platforms.
