Your role and responsibilities

− Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for efficient and automated application and infrastructure deployment in GCP and Azure.



− Build, maintain and optimize Azure and GCP infrastructure (including Kubernetes, Cloud Functions, GKE, etc.) to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance.



− Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting for proactive problem detection and performance optimization.



− Ensure infrastructure security and adherence to security standards within GCP.



− Work with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools for automating resource provisioning and management, and optimize costs associated with cloud infrastructure.



− Consult with the Solution Architect on DevOps solution improvements and target-state infrastructure for the AI solution.



− Support development teams with deployment and infrastructure-related issue resolution.



− Communicate with the AI platform provider (Google) on behalf of ŠKODA AUTO to resolve open points and issues related to GCP and Vertex AI.





Required education
Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

− Expert knowledge of GCP - a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with architecting, deploying, and managing applications on Google Cloud Platform and Azure.



− In-depth knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, GKE).



− Advanced experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Cloud Build) and CI/CD pipeline development within GCP.



− Practical experience with IaC tools (Terraform is preferred), and the ability to identify and implement infrastructure-level improvements on GCP.



− Experience with monitoring and logging solutions (Stackdriver/Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).



− Experience with infrastructure automation on MS Azure



− Google certification "Cloud DevOps Engineer", "Cloud Developer", "Cloud Security Engineer" and "Cloud Network Engineer"



− Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python).



− Ability to solve complex problems in distributed systems.



- Analytical, proactive, and collaborative mindset with strong communication and persuasion skills.



− Nice to have: experience from the automotive industry (specifically with the VW Group) and experience with Vertex AI.
