Senior Data analytics engineer

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Act as an expert in the stabilisation of business intelligence operation and reports
• Manage and support a team of specialists from various fields (business intelligence analysts and ETL/BI developers);
• Proactive communicator with  leaders in the organisation and able to prevent and manage crises linked to Data quality and report production delays
• Design and Implement tactical process to secure the production of timely and accurate reports
• Maintain and improve report delivery through difficult data challenges and provide feedback on the work of others;
• Promote business intelligence and data management best practices to various users in the company;
• Provide hands-on coaching and oversight on all aspects of BI report delivery: appraisal, design, management, deployment, delivery and more;
• Work directly with stakeholders to develop address their BAU needs.
• Insure the development of key resources to migrate to the new environments

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A university degree in business intelligence, data science or other relevant training;
• Over 4 years of experience in BI Ops , improvement and maintenance of BI reports;
• Expertise in business intelligence tools (Power BI );
• Technical understanding of the various languages surrounding data processing (DAX, SQL, communication with APIs);
• Excellent understanding of data warehousing environments and systems and ETL/ELT techniques;
• Knowledge of cloud and hybrid cloud implementations, including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS;
• Good understanding of Azure Data Factory, PowerShell Scripting, Azure Automation, Azure Data Lake and Azure Data Lake Analytics, SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, SSIS, SSRS, Power BI and Reporting Services, R, Azure Machine Learning;
• Excellent analytical and reasoning skills resulting in clear, robust and flexible architectures;
• Ability to proactively manage senior stakeholder
• Encourage outreach to others through collaboration, examples and mentoring;
• Exceptional communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
