About the role

About the Role:



We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure L3 Engineer with expertise in VMware technologies, DevOps practices, product development, and backup/storage solutions to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, troubleshooting, and optimizing our cloud infrastructure environment, while also contributing to automation, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and product lifecycle management.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Manage and support VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi hosts, and related virtualization infrastructure.
  • Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for complex cloud infrastructure issues.
  • Design, implement, and optimize VMware-based cloud solutions aligned with product requirements.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment, configuration, and management tasks.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Support containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and VMware Tanzu.
  • Participate in product development lifecycle, including environment setup, testing, and deployment.
  • Monitor system performance, capacity planning, and perform regular health checks.
  • Automate routine tasks using scripting and automation tools to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure security best practices and compliance within the cloud infrastructure.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to L1 and L2 support teams.
  • Stay updated with the latest VMware, DevOps, and cloud technologies and industry best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of internal tools and frameworks to enhance product delivery.
  • Optional/Good to Have: Knowledge of backup and storage solutions, including data protection strategies and storage management.
About you

Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure management, with a focus on VMware technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, NSX, vSAN, and Tanzu.
  • Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git, Ansible, Terraform, and Docker.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as VMware Cloud on AWS or other hybrid cloud solutions.
  • Knowledge of networking, storage, and security in virtualized and cloud environments.
  • Good understanding of backup and storage solutions, data protection, and disaster recovery strategies (preferred).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • VMware certifications (VCP, VCAP, or higher) are preferred.
  • Experience in product development environments is a plus.
