Software Quality Control Engineer

Homzmart is an end to end community that connects home professionals with homeowners who can browse home designs, furniture, accessories and products and also can find reviews, referring professionals, take advice from professionals and read articles about home improvement.

• Test Planning & Design: Collaborate with the QA team to understand product requirements and
  user stories.
  ● Test Execution: Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and
  smoke testing on web and/or mobile applications.
  ● Defect Management: Identify, document, and track bugs clearly and effectively using a bug
  tracking system (e.g., Jira). Work with developers to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
  ● Agile Participation: Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint
  planning, and retrospectives.
  ● Test Automation Basics (Learning/Growth): Under the guidance of senior team members, begin
  to learn and contribute to the development of automated test scripts using tools like Selenium or
  Postman.

• ● 2+ years of professional experience in a software testing role.
  ● Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle
  (STLC).
  ● Writing and executing test cases.
  ● Identifying, reporting, and tracking defects.
  ● Working within an Agile/Scrum development environment.
  ● Familiarity with at least one bug tracking and test management tool (e.g., Jira).
  ● Strong understanding of APIs.
  ● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

  
  

  ● Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  ● ISTQB Foundation Level Certification is a plus.
  ● Hands-on experience with any automated testing tool (e.g., Selenium WebDriver)
  ● Basic knowledge of a programming language such as Java.
  ● Experience with API testing tools like Postman.
  ● Experience with a performance testing tool like JMeter.
