JOB PURPOSE:
Drive market development strategy and customer technical activities, drive common processes and decision criteria to realize the Strategic Business Unit (Polymers)’ strategic priorities and profitability/EBITDA ambitions. Responsible for initiating, leading and effectively implementing globally aligned innovative projects in the region. Direct owner of market and application needs and developments as well as strong relationships at key Original Equipment Manufacturer’s, customers and system suppliers. Development of differentiated & HAV product portfolio, technical service, and market implementation of new application and product solutions to enhance business growth. Role requires integration and multidisciplinary project-based collaboration between Manufacturing, Technology, Sales, and Business Management. Collaborate and align with global “Market development and Technical Marketing” department peers to prioritize and optimize global resource utilization and define/execute common business processes and objectives.
KEY ACOUNTABILITIES
1. Drive and execute the Market Development & Technical Support strategic plan in the region, aligned with Business Management, Technology and Global MDTM to achieve SABIC profitability/EBITDA ambitions 2025 strategy.
2. Provide market pull by good understanding of the industry trends and meet customer needs, formulate business opportunity projects with strong business cases and endorse execution with Business Management and Technology to provide extraordinary technical support to customers.
3. Execute and implement new innovative solutions with multi-product value propositions, applications, and products, and provide training related to customers, sales and Business.
4. Actively participate with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Sales, Technology, Business Management, MDTM) to support the validation in the market of new value propositions, applications, and products.
5. Work with a team of MDTM experts, covering all Industries and Polymers Product Line in the region to enhance customer satisfaction.
6. Be responsible for assuring compliance of corporate legal, safety, and business policies.
Minimum Qualifications and Experiance:
• BS technical degree and/or related experience; Marketing & Sales experience/training; Working knowledge of statistical concepts and tools.
• Minimum 5 years in the plastic application industry experience preferred or degree in downstream.
