Job Description
OverviewThe key purpose of this role is to handle transportation planning tasks.
Business process scope to include inbound transportation.
Job holder will collaborate and work in partnership with SC Planning, Customer Service, other Transporation piers, Master Data teams and Carriers and enable them to deliver Customer Service Level and Holistic Cost Management.
It is expected that the role will therefore require an initial flexibility of approach as processes are primarily lifted and shifted then fixed and improved over following strategy cycles.
Responsibilities
Managing the processes to deliver the transporation management agenda covering transport planning & delivery around:
Inbound Transportation Planning + Gather and manage demand forecast volumes
+ Plan for capacity requirement
+ Define requirements for optimized loads
+ Release route plans and transport orders
Book slot and capacity in warehouse + Provide relevant transportation information to warehousing for slot booking and capacity planning
Network Modelling support Qualifications
University degree Knowledge of European rules and regulations for drivers and vehicles preferrable Lean certification or understanding of Lean principles nice to have Fluent oral and written communication skills, both in English and
French; Problem solving skills Experience in transportation management system and SAP usage nice to have Good numeric abilities; Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office: Outlook,
