We're looking for 2 Team Leads to join our Brightly team in Cairo, Egypt.
Main responsibilities- Lead the design and implementation of innovative and high-performance features in our next-generation software applications.
- Coordinate project execution, creating detailed plans to achieve goals and integrating technical activities.
- Inspire and guide engineers to develop and document scalable libraries and frameworks used across multiple projects, adhering to scope, cost, time, and quality constraints.
- Ensure quality throughout the agile product lifecycle, including requirements, design, code, testing, delivery, and support.
- Mentor engineers to create clear, maintainable solutions that scale and adhere to existing standards, in a professional software engineering environment (source control, shortened release cycles, continuous integration and deployment, etc.).
- Align team’s technical goals with company objectives and metrics.
- Lead, evaluate, and develop a team of engineers to complete projects on time, within budget, and according to goals.
- Create career development plans for team members to meet current and future skill needs.
- Advise product owners and UX on technical feasibility, translating user requirements into technical specifications. Act as a technical SME during product planning sessions.
- Enable teams to identify and resolve production incidents, owning the troubleshooting process across teams.
- Promote a DevOps mindset within the team, owning discovery, solutioning, monitoring, and incident resolution.
- Contribute to build vs. buy vs. partner decisions, cloud strategy, and technology roadmaps.
- Serve as a technical leader for your team or on special projects, identifying and leveraging coaching opportunities.
- Stay current with technology trends, mentoring junior engineers and interns.
- Influence architects, senior engineers, and product management to measure and iterate continuous improvement processes across the engineering discipline.
- Drive continuous improvement through metrics and feedback, embracing change and complexity, and adapting quickly.
Knowledge & Experience Needed
- B.Sc. in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
- +7 years of proven experience in a similar role.
- Ability to communicate with and present to engineers, senior management, and stakeholders.
- +5 years of experience developing SQL databases, including architecting tables, speed tuning queries, and debugging procedures.
- +3 years of experience with unit testing, mocking frameworks, and automation frameworks.
- +5 years of experience with C#, .NET, .NET Core/6, or other object-oriented programming languages.
- Experience with REST services, SOA, and microservices.
- Experience with web development, JS frameworks, and UI/UX technologies.
- DevOps' mindset with 3+ years of experience in a mature CI/CD SDLC environment, including exception handling, logging, monitoring, performance measurement, and operational metrics.
- +5 years of experience working in agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Experience leading teams in a global delivery, agile, CI/CD, metrics-based setting.
- Excellent management skills and the ability to mentor team members on development best practices and processes.
