The Testing and Automation Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality of software products within the FinTech domain through the design, development, and execution of test plans and test cases.
This role focuses on identifying and preventing defects, promoting a culture of quality, and verifying that software meets defined requirements and user expectations.
The difference you will make: Analyze requirements and specifications to develop comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Design test cases covering functionality, performance, security, and usability aspects.
Execute test cases and accurately record test results.
Identify, document, and track software defects in a clear and concise manner.
Analyze test results to identify trends and patterns of defects.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks.
Collaborate with developers to ensure effective defect resolution.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineer 1ing, or a related field.
Experience: 2+ years of experience as a Testing and Automation Engineer or in a related role.
Experience with various testing methodologies and basic automation.
Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
Technical Skills: Solid understanding of software testing principles and best practices.
Experience in designing and executing test plans and test cases.
Basic proficiency in test automation tools (e.
g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
Knowledge of different testing types (e.
g., unit, integration, functional).
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good attention to detail.
Ability to communicate technical issues clearly.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Customer-centric approach to quality.
Good command of English language, both verbal and written.
Self-learner with a positive attitude.
