Transportation Manager
Position Summary
We are looking for a Transportation Manager who will take charge of our transport
operations from end to end. This role is not only about managing contracts and fleets, but
also about making sure daily operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will oversee
transporter agent agreements, coordinate fleet activities, and ensure transportation
systems are implemented and fully integrated with our existing platforms. Candidates
with knowledge of containerized cargo flows and gate processes at ports and dry ports
will be given preference.
Key Responsibilities
• Build and manage strong partnerships with transporter agents, including contract
negotiation and performance monitoring.
• Lead fleet operations by managing routing, dispatching, vehicle utilizations.
• Design and deliver daily transportation plans and schedules, ensuring resources
are allocated effectively.
• Work closely with the transportation team, supervisors, coordinators, and external
vendors to keep operations on track.
• Proactively monitor trips, troubleshoot delays, and share timely updates with
stakeholders.
• Drive the implementation of Transportation Management Systems and ensure
seamless integrations with ports and customs platforms.
• Safeguard compliance with all legal, regulatory, and safety standards.
• Apply practical knowledge of container and cargo flows, including gate-in/gate
out processes at ports and dry ports.
• Manage budgets, optimize costs, and report on KPIs such as fleet efficiency,
vendor performance, and transport reliability.
• Lead, coach, and develop the transportation team to ensure a culture of safety,
accountability, and continuous improvement.
