Our client, a leading solution provider to telecom network operators and service providers, is recruiting for a Test Lab Technician/Telecom Professionals to join their business in France.

The Lab Technician is responsible for overseeing the testing of refurbished telecom and network equipment. They will collaborate with the Technical Operations and Operational Teams to ensure the timely processing of customer orders while maintaining high-quality standards. Cover the Lab Manager basic duties if they are not available


Responsibilities:  
  • Equipment Testing Product Quality Inspection


  • Planning of works Troubleshooting Test Environments


  • Communication with Operations Team Equipment Commissioning


  • Attend Operations Meetings


  • Experience: 1-2 years in Telecommunications, Networking, or related fields, or a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications/IT.


  • Knowledge of Telecommunication(Radio optimization/Radio Frequency and IT Networks: Strong understanding of network fundamentals, including Routing & Switching, LAN, WAN, and general telecommunication concepts.


  • Experience with Telecommunications Equipment: Preferably some experience with Base Transceiver Stations (BTS), Base Stations, Antennas, or Towers.


  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.


  • Communication: Strong written and spoken English communication skills.


  • Tools and Equipment: Familiarity with handling and operating telecommunications tools and test & measurement equipment.


  • IP Address Configuration: Experience with configuring and troubleshooting IP addresses on laptops and connecting to other machines within a network.


Lab Objectives


  • Leading the commissioning and integration of telecommunications and networking equipment.


  • Supervising and providing guidance for first line troubleshooting on test environments.


  • Managing the team’s work with test and measurement equipment.


  • Coordinating system-level testing of telecommunications and networking equipment.


  • Ensuring testing and verification of product performance against manufacturer specifications.


  • Ensure adherence to internal and customer requirement documentation.


  • Ensuring enforcement and compliance with electrical, optical, and RF safety measures.


  • Implementing measures to optimize testing processes, increase productivity, and ensure quality.


Support:


  • Collaborating with appropriate teams to deliver projects and minimize customer impact


  • Act as the primary interface for Operations and any other relevant teams in the business when the Lab manager is absent.


  • Understand the importance of test, quality assurance and release processes and assure strict adherence to these at all times.


  • To assist with covering the responsibilities of other team members in their absence.


  • To take pride in personal appearance reflecting the client's brand.


  • To take responsibility for own health, safety, and well-being; and that of visitors and other employees; ensuring compliance with client's Health and Safety policy, procedures, and safe systems of work.


  • To be responsible for own behavior and act in a manner that avoids and discourages any form of discrimination or harassment.


  • To ensure full compliance with all client's policies.


  • To willingly carry out any other duties that are within the scope and purpose of the role and client as an organization.


Qualifications:


  • Experience working on Telecommunications or Networking equipment.

  • Understanding tool and equipment handling and operation


Desirable: 


  • Experience in Test & Measurement equipment
