Actuarial Analyst


We are looking for an actuarial student with 2-3 years' experience to join the Cigna’s European Actuarial Reserving team, based in Bengaluru. The responsibility includes completing various Reserving, and Reporting tasks for the Cigna's Europe business. She/He will also play a key role in the continuous process improvement tasks and implementing new Reserving tools and modernize the reporting process.


The role requires working closely with various teams including Pricing, Underwriting, Claims, Accounting, and IT. This a fantastic opportunity for someone who is eager to learn. As our clients are spread across the globe, this opportunity provides an exposure to various markets across different countries. The team is based in Bengaluru and the UK consists of experienced actuaries. The analyst will work with the members from both locations.

The role


The Actuarial Reserving team are responsible for:


  • Regular Reporting – BEGAAP, USGAAP, Solvency II. The Reporting happens on monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Experience study – Regular analysis of experience for Medical and Non-medical business
  • Risk capital model – Provide the necessary data for Risk model parameter calibration
  • Business planning – Provide necessary input for the Planning exercise

The Requirements:


  • High level of numerical and analytical skills


  • Ability to investigate data issues


  • Willingness to learn and develop


  • Graduate in Mathematics, Actuarial science or any equivalent subject


  • MS Office (Excel and Access), VBA  


  • 2-3 years' experience in Actuarial
