We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Analyst - Global Banking



In this role, you will:



  • Working extensively in an integrated team environment with global investment banking professionals on pitch books and deals across sectors, products and geographies
  • Focus on supporting origination and execution of mergers & acquisitions, credit and capital market transactions (Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, Strategic Equity Financing, Corporate Finance, Leveraged Acquisition Financing, Structured Finance, Hedging Solutions etc.) across sectors globally
  • Acquiring in-depth understanding of the market, industry, and business environment. This understanding enables the firm to design customized solutions for clients - whether it is strategic initiatives like mergers & acquisitions, capital financing, credit ratings analysis or risk management solutions
  • Engagement on a diverse set of transactions with HSBC bankers globally
  • Support global teams in deals, market or sector related research, origination and execution
  • Support the deal team through coordinated coverage and global-local infrastructure
  • Support achievement of team objectives & participate in the development of cohesive teams
  • Contribute to the creation of a supportive work environment driven by people centric values

To be successful you will:



  • Sector knowledge, corporate finance, corporate ratings, IRR, NPV, capital market products (equity, bonds, loans, leveraged buyouts, hybrids, convertibles, mortgage backed securities etc.)
  • Proficiency in Financial Modelling and MS Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel and Word)
  • Sound understanding of accounting and valuation concepts
  • Exposure to financial databases and research platforms like Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Factset, MergerMarket etc.
  • Exceptionally qualified MBA’s (with good CGPA score) and CA’s with Big four (E&Y, PWC, Deloitte, KPMG) experience
  • Corporate / investment banking, finance / accounting, or transaction services industry experience, with exposure to leveraged and acquisition finance or the broader structured finance environment
  • Excellent time management, planning and organisation skills to ensure ability to manage multiple projects and multiple deadlines. Sound understanding of banking products and services
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, with ability to interact at a senior and strategic level
  • Excellent level of business acumen and commercial awareness, including economic, cultural, procedural and regulatory issues
