The opportunity

Work with business stakeholders on a daily basis to support the North America Market Access business team. Support day-to-day activities related to Market Access Data and Analytics, Patient Services, and Commercial Finance. Work with the combined team to resolve issues, propose and develop solutions that support rapidly changing business needs.  Support Market Access Data and Analytics including integrations with Commercial Data Warehouse and Third-Party Systems.  Develop and Configure new Integrations and processes as needed. Perform SQL Server Database development. As a Database Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and database architecture for our organization




How you’ll spend your day

•    Partner with Market Access Data and Analytics and Commercial Finance teams to support day-to-day database related activities.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, understand business needs, and translate them into technical specifications for ETL processes and reports.
•    Develop and maintain ETL processes using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to extract data from various sources, transform it into the desired format, and load it     into target databases.
•    Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity by fine-tuning queries, creating indexes, and monitoring database health.
•    Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
•    Continuously enhance and maintain existing ETL workflows, reports, and data models to meet evolving business requirements.
•    Contribute to the development of data governance and data quality initiatives to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
•    Troubleshoot and provide production support of existing processes. 
•    Provide regular project updates to business analysts and management.
•    Develop and maintain system documentation.
•    Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, best practices, and technologies related to ETL, data warehousing, and reporting.




Your experience and qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or 7+ years relevant development experience. 
•    Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a SQL Server Database Developer, specializing in ETL processes and database architecture using Microsoft SQL Server SSIS. 
•    Proficiency in SQL scripting and experience with complex queries, stored procedures, and performance optimization techniques.
•    Minimum 2 years of experience in working with global cross-functional teams preferred.
•    Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and database design principles.
•    Proven ability to work with large datasets and handle data integration challenges effectively.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
•    Demonstrated experience in project estimation and planning.
•    Pharmaceuticals industry experience and knowledge a plus.
