The Firmwide Chief Data Office is responsible for maximizing the value and impact of data globally, in a highly governed way. It consists of several teams focused on accelerating JPMorgan Chase’s data, analytics, and AI journey, including data strategy, data impact optimization, privacy, data governance, transformation, and talent. We are looking for a team member who is solution oriented, technically savvy and a self-starter. You thrive in working in tribes and squads that focus on specific products and projects – and depending on your strengths and interests, you'll have the opportunity to move between them. 


Joining the Applied AI ML team means supporting the delivery of AI solutions to enhance the firm's data management and governance capabilities. As a Vice President, Applied AI ML Lead in this team, you will collaborate with firmwide teams, business lines, and corporate functions to identify opportunities and design AI solutions. We seek an experienced AI ML professional to develop solutions that will transform data governance capabilities across the organization.



Job Responsibilities:


  • Design and develop solutions leveraging AI/ML capabilities for data management challenges.


  • Build prototypes to quickly demonstrate the value of our work to our stakeholders.


  • Collaborate with our lines of business and corporate functions to identify their needs.


  • Partner with our engineering and data science teams on the delivery and integration of our solutions.


  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of models, experiments, and processes.


  • Deliver written, visual, and oral presentation of modeling results to business and technical stakeholders.


  • Stay up to date with the latest research in LLM, ML and data science. Identify and leverage emerging techniques to drive ongoing enhancement.


Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:


  • Formal training or certification on data and AI/ML concepts, with expert applied experience.


  • Proven commercial experience developing in Python and manipulating large volumes of complex data using SQL.


  • Extensive experience as a data scientist, AI/ML engineer, or AI/ML researcher.


  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems with many constraints.


  • Ability to articulate business needs to technical leadership and technical issues to business leadership.


  • Proven ability to engage with engineers, designers, and company leaders in a constructive and collaborative relationship.


Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:


  • Experience using AI agents and copilots to enhance business processes or user experiences is highly desirable.
  • Experience with data management is a plus.
