Job Title: Assistant Director, TnO Analytics

The job is a major point of contact with the business and IT. The jobholder works independently and has a high level of flexibility to consult with the business at all levels. They will need to have the ability to work closely with and build good relationships with Software Delivery, IT Operations, Service Delivery, and with other delivery partners and Global Functions. The jobholder is expected to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously, taking a lead analyst role in larger projects, directing all analyst activity.



This is a global team, working on projects that cut across multiple geographies.



The team works on multiple projects at any time. These projects could be strategic, regulatory, or non-regulatory and BAU etc.




In this role, you will:




  • Develop the key artefacts required under either Waterfall or Agile methodology (including high-level business requirements, solution design, functional and non-functional requirements), to a clear and unambiguous standard, as a solid foundation for implementation by Software Delivery (SWD).
  • Promote visibility, understanding and approval of the requirements with all regional stakeholders at all stages of initiation and definition; obtain sign-offs
  • Liaise with Software Delivery in the Functional Requirements Specification, production and subsequent software development
  • Ensure that the integrity of the risk systems is maintained by supporting strategic requirements
  • Should be able to support at least first half of US day time hours
  • Should be able to support both Counterparty Credit Risk & Market Risk projects as well
  • Constructive engagement with key stakeholders i.e. risk management, risk control, Traded Risk transformation component Project Manager/ Business Analysts, Software delivery teams, FO Project team, design architects

To be successful you will:



  • Educated to at least degree level. Very strong understanding of Credit risk measures, and knowledge of Market Risk measures
  • Strong business analysis experience in a Credit risk context, in investment banking
  • Some previous experience working closely across multiple regions
  • Focused and delivery-driven with ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently, as well as work collaboratively with other teams, some of which may be geographically distributed
  • Ability to adapt and prioritise appropriately in a fast moving and often evolving environment. Pragmatic decision making capability.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical abilities including the ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details and apply sound business and technical domain knowledge
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are vital for this role. Team player with good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to dig into details; appetite, enthusiasm and desire to acquire technical and systems knowledge; initiate change and execute strategy
