Skills & Technologies -
Experience in Cisco switching and routing technologies , Experience in core / Distribution /Access , Server Farm switches , Managing complex 3 tier network architecture, Checkpoint Firewall Management , Cisco Access points , Managing Campus wireless network ,Cisco ISE NAC , IPBX , Switching and Routing , WAN Management , Multiple ILL Management , Troubleshooting WAN , LAN. Deep understanding of fiber network and topologies.
- Ensure Network availability, and 24/7 support of production system services to ensure the highest standards of availability, resilience, integrity and performance Data Centre IT Infra., Active devices like Cisco Network Switches, Routers, Checkpoint Firewall, Altai Access Points, Cisco WLC, Cisco VOIP communication manager; redundancy and high availability and related systems.
- Maintain & Manage Fiber and copper Passive network cabling across the campus
- Operation & Maintenance of entire network which includes wired & wireless network. The same shall be maintained as per DPWorld IT standards.
- Operation & Maintenance of WAN links.
- Capacity planning for Entire network considering future requirements.
- Operation & Maintenance of Security related equipment’s like firewall, Spam Detector, Proxy Server, etc.
- Maintained all equipment used for access control & time attendance System.
- Maintain wireless connectivity to Radio Data Terminals to ensure the uptime of System as per DPWorld IT standards.
- Manage Internet Access, MPLS access for the terminal.
- Liaise with IT management Team for smooth functioning of all networks & applications.
- Suggest & implement the Improvement in the existing system in order to achieve company objectives.
- Liaise with Container Terminal Operational staff, Finance staff, and supplier companies as required for smooth function of Network.
- Maintain current knowledge on all technical issues related to Firewall, Routers and Switches and show keen interest in developing & implementing best practices in Industry.
- Introducing new technologies and up gradation of old NW/Security platform
- Enhancing the performance of existing NW Backbone and all active devices, creating fault tolerant, redundancy and robust system
- NW Equipment’s health checkups and security assessment maintenance and refreshing.
- Close monitoring and alerting in case of issue. Security assessment; Maintenance and Refreshing and resource utilization management.
- Logs monitoring getting collecting all logs at common server; regularly updating firmware and updates available, reviewing security vulnerabilities.
- Periodically configuration Backup of each network devices and appliance.
- Disaster Recovery Plan for each network device and appliance. Planning and execution of DR Drill Activity,
- Latest technologies implementation, Improvement of existing technologies
- Manage and coordinate upgrade of firmware/Software/OS/Patches released during time to time.
- Manage and maintain the list of IT LAN/ WAN /WIFi assets in the company.
- Design Network Infrastructure for implementing any new application.
- Technical authority and accountability for performance of Network Infrastructure.
- Technical authority on strategies for Network backups and capacity planning.
- Maintain all CCTV network.
- Introducing new technologies and up gradation of old system,
- Network Logs monitoring. Regularly updating security patches, reviewing security vulnerabilities Resource utilization management.
- Monitor and ensure the proper documentation of the manuals, SoP, project documents, change requests etc and approve the final versions.
- Security and access control.
- Closure of Internal and external Audit issues on time with all details.
- Report all technical issue with Head Infrastructure to seek his advise.
Key Accountabilities (duties and responsibilities):
- Provide timely support to the data centre operations & IT systems
- Ensure technology is accessible and equipped with current Hardware and Software
- Monitor and maintain technology to ensure maximum access; and high availability
- Maintenance of all Active and Passive Equipment of DC & DR
- Configuration management, Regular Monitoring of Servers and Storages
- Documentation, Incident Management & Inventory Control.
