Assistant Project Manager - Planning & Documentation JLL Project & Development Services (PDS) Mumbai, India

Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our Mumbai PDS team, focusing on comprehensive project planning and documentation management. This role is ideal for a professional with dual expertise in civil engineering and interior design who can effectively bridge technical execution with project administration across commercial real estate developments.
Core Responsibilities
Planning & Scheduling Develop detailed project work breakdown structures, critical path schedules, and milestone tracking systems using MS Project and Primavera. Create and maintain resource allocation plans, coordinating with multiple disciplines including MEP, structural, and interior design teams. Monitor project timelines against established baselines and prepare schedule variance reports for senior management review.
Documentation Management Establish and maintain comprehensive project documentation systems including drawing registers, specification databases, and compliance tracking matrices. Prepare technical submissions for regulatory approvals, coordinate drawing revisions across design disciplines, and ensure version control protocols are followed throughout project lifecycle.
Coordination & Communication Facilitate design coordination meetings between architects, engineers, and interior designers to resolve interface issues. Prepare detailed meeting minutes, action item logs, and progress reports for stakeholders. Support client presentations and design review sessions with technical documentation and visual aids.
Quality Assurance Conduct regular design reviews to ensure compliance with building codes, client requirements, and JLL quality standards. Coordinate with QA/QC teams during construction phases and maintain inspection reports and compliance certificates. Support preparation of project handover documentation including O&M manuals and warranty records.
Required Qualifications
Educational Background Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with demonstrated knowledge of interior design principles, or Interior Design degree with strong understanding of building systems and construction methods. Professional certifications or additional coursework bridging both disciplines will be highly valued.
Technical Skills Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and 3D modeling software for both architectural and interior applications. Advanced knowledge of MS Project, Excel, and project documentation software. Understanding of MEP systems integration, structural coordination, and interior fit-out processes.
Experience Requirements Minimum 4 years in project management roles within commercial real estate, corporate interiors, or mixed-use developments.
Professional Competencies Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex technical drawings and specifications across multiple disciplines. Excellent written and verbal communication in English and regional languages. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
