We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President- Senior Data Engineer
Principal responsibilities
- Design and build scalable data pipelines that can extract, transform, and load data from cloud and on-premises data sources using Sql, cloud big data technologies and Azure technologies for business/operational use cases.
- Develop and maintains data pipelines, including solutions for data collection, management, metadata, and usage.
- Identifies, designs, and implements internal process improvements, automating manual processes, re-design infrastructure for greater scalability, monitor, capture and analyze pipeline metadata and usage.
- Partners with business stakeholders to understand businesses and technical requirements, plan and execute projects, and communicate status, risks, and issues.
- Work closely with data scientists and analytics team to optimize and reengineer model code to be modular, efficient, and scalable, and deploy newly build data models to production.
- Working within wider team to deliver and support on applications (say web apps/power apps)
- Provide advice, coaching and quality assurance to wider data engineering team.
- Liaise with tech team to ensure that DevOps processes fit for process and operate to SLAs.
- Produces relevant documentation and supporting artefacts.
