The Associate Cybersecurity Manager for the Cyber Security Operations Center is responsible for overseeing the operations of the CSOC during their assigned shift. This role involves investigating, triaging, and responding to security incidents, as well as engaging in cyber incident response activities as needed. They will ensure that all security events are handled promptly and effectively, maintaining the integrity and security of the organization's information systems. This role also involves collaborating with the US-based division of the CSOC on defensive posture of the organization. This employee will work closely with the CSOC Operations Lead to ensure effective coverage of incident response capabilities during business hours. This is a growth role and will develop into a leadership position as the Mumbai division of the CSOC is built out.


Key Responsibilities


  • Manage the Mumbai division of the CSOC during assigned shifts, ensuring effective monitoring and response to security incidents.
  • Coordinate and execute cyber incident response activities, including containment, eradication, and recovery efforts.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Prepare and deliver shift handover reports to US team, ensuring seamless communication between shifts.
  • Stay current with emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in a security operations center (SOC) or similar environment and overall experience of 10 –12 years is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat landscape, and attack vectors.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC are desirable.

Preferred Skills


  • Experience with SIEM  tools such as Splunk, QRadar is a plus 
  • Exposure to Enterprise/IT/Data/Network security
  • Cyber Threat intelligence 
  • Digital Forensics
  • IT Security Architecture/Firewalls
