We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated NFVI SDN Engineer to join our team at Ericsson. As an NFVI SDN Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing the telco cloud network infrastructure, including switches, routers, load balancers, firewalls, and SDN solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth operation of the network and provide technical support to customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong networking background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer-first mindset.




What you will do:




  • Maintain and manage Telco cloud network infrastructure NFVI&SDN (Ericsson)
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth operations of the network.
  • Provide technical support to customers and address their network-related issues.
  • Familiarity with OpenStack and Kubernetes platforms (Redhat/Mirantis) for network virtualization.
  • Knowledge of Hyperscale Cloud Hardware Platforms (Ericsson HDS8000 & BSP8100, Dell and HPE)
  • Good Working knowledge of Cloud Storage Products (Nexenta/ScaleIO/Ceph)
  • Monitor network performance using tools like Zabbix, ZenOSS, and Nagios Log Server.
  • Develop and maintain scripts using Bash, Python, and Ansible for automation and network management tasks.
  • Collaborate with team members and share knowledge to enhance the team's overall capabilities.
  • Skilled with Network Technologies (Switches, Routers and Load Balancers)
  • Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot SDN solutions, specifically Pluribus Networks | Ericsson SDN (ODL).
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to NFVI SDN.

The skills you bring:




  • Degree/Diploma or equivalent experience or equivalent in Engineering preferably in Electronics, Computer science, Telecommunication or equivalent.
  • Experience level 2+ years in Ericsson NFVI SDN
  • Strong Networking Background (Cisco, Juniper – Switches, Routers)
  • Knowledge of Network Products like Load Balancers (F5, A10), Firewall (Cisco, Juniper, Extreme, FortiGate & A10)
  • Good Working knowledge of Pluribus Networks | Ericsson SDN (ODL)
  • Familiar with OpenStack/Kubernetes (Redhat, Mirantis)
  • Knowledge of Tools like Zabbix, ZenOSS, Nagios Log Server
  • Scripting Knowledge via Bash, Python, Ansible
