Key Responsibilities



•  Regulatory Compliance assessment, audits, and implementation: Monitor and Implement new risk and regulatory requirements using Lexis Nexis. Building roadmaps and translating risk or regulatory requirements into business needs. Support clients with implementing and embedding of identified gaps, according to the roadmap.
•    Regulatory Risk assessment: lead, identify and assess regulatory business risks, propose mitigating actions, report results to entity’s senior management.
•    Internal Controlling: Improve the design of internal regulatory and compliance controls and monitor its effective implementation, using notably international standards and best market practices. 
•    Regulatory watch: Good knowledge of Lexis Nexis website to consistently monitor to regulatory requirements. Update existing processes and regulatory guidelines and build a monitoring program to ensure ongoing compliance with regulations. Leading Compliance/Regulatory audits from Clients and States.
•    Lead Projects: Organize workshops with the client’s teams to identify pain points, conduct analysis and propose remediations.
•    Risk culture: Help to foster risk and compliance culture within an organization (workshops, awareness campaigns, trainings).


Skills and Attributes for Success



•    Should be a Law Graduate
•    Strong Life insurance domain knowledge, experience with Lexis Nexis website is must
•    Relevant experience (8-12 years) in managing compliance teams in Risk and Compliance position, within Life insurance processes
•    Expertise and experience in specific regulations applicable to the USA and Canadian Life Insurance sectors (Insurance Law, Compliance and Risk Governance, Regulatory Audits from clients and states)
•    Flexible mindset, with a creative approach and ability to think out-of-the-box and good stakeholder management experience
•    Process-minded, problem solving skilled, organized, with an eye for detail and excellent analytical skills
•    Excellent written and verbal communication & presentation skills, with capacity to summarize & prioritize the information to be reported to management
•    Strong team spirit, balanced by a healthy sense of autonomy
